Chickasaw 1 Residence

Set in the the stark and serene landscape of Joshua Tree, the house is designed as an array of pavilions set around a courtyard with the pool in the middle. All rooms have the immediate outdoor space and view of the courtyard and of the hills or valley beyond. The roofline takes its cue from the hills beyond. The ADU above the garage is an artist studio with a dramatic roof and skylight at the apex.
